The Fairfax At Embassy Row, Washington D.C – Hotel near airport in Washington

I couldn't have asked for a better location than this hotel, perfect for exploring Georgetown and the surrounding area. While the ambiance felt a bit dated, it added a unique charm that I found quite endearing. The neighborhood is top-notch, and the connectivity with another room was a convenient surprise.

My stay at the hotel had its ups and downs. The room I initially had was just perfect for the weather, clean, and nicely appointed, but the second room was much smaller and came at a higher rate. Unfortunately, noise from a utility chimney made it hard to rest at times. The service, led by David the General Manager, was absolutely fantastic, with friendly and helpful staff, though the older rooms were still comfortable. The location, surrounded by embassies in Embassy Row near DuPont Circle, had its charm but was disrupted by renovation noise. The dining experience was average, with wholesome but basic options at a cost. The facilities were decent overall.
